Reflective

Teach us how to be

less reactive,

more reflective;

relinquishing the reflex

of immediate response

and the volatile emotion

fueling flash-fire,

scorching innocent bystanders;

steeping ourselves, instead,

in the leaves of your image,

mirroring love, wisdom, compassion

for all the world to see and share.
