Speed

When you already are

where you need to be today,

speed is more of a reckless distraction

than a necessary traveling companion.

As we recognize the purpose

of presence, the road widens,

as do all of the experiences

along the way.

Don't mistake the fleeting happiness

of arrival for the joy of journey.

Without the story of travel,

 most destinations lose their luster.
