Grand Design

My view of the world

is one way to look at it,

but not the only way;

not your way either.

Like the blind ones

examining the elephant

from different perspectives,

perhaps we should

avail ourselves of

our differing perspectives,

since community, culture,

cooperation seem to be

part of grand design.

African proverb says,

“If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.”

Let’s commit ourselves

to the steady train;

long haul with much more

than room for self and same.
